We Are God’s Co-Workers
By: Joseph Young
Bible Passage: 1 Corinthians 3:9
Summary
In the book, The Baptist Faith and Message, co-authored by Charles S Kelly Jr, Richard Land, and R. Albert Mohler, we are reminded that our Baptist identity is built on the rock-solid foundation of God’s Word. The Bible shapes our faith, our worship and our witness.
In the first few verses of 1 Corinthians, Paul writes from Ephesus to the church in Corinth. He appeals to the church “to agree, to let there be no division, and to be united with the same mind and judgement.” (1:10)
In 1845, the Cooperative Program (CP) of the Southern Baptist Convention was formed with the vision of uniting our efforts. The mission of the CP is the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19-20) Nothing else matters when we come to experience the great mercy, grace, and forgiveness that God offers in Christ Jesus. In awe of the great Savior King, we want to see the multitudes come to know Jesus. We have good news to share to the world, so we work.
As God’s co-workers, let the testimony of Christ be confirmed (6) among us as we cooperate together. Let us continue to preach Christ crucified in all we do. May our faith be reflected in our worship, our witness and our cooperation. May we not grow tired of cooperating as He will sustain us until the end.

What’s holding you back from cooperating?
Pray
I pray that we will have a heart like Lottie Moon. Lord, may we not just have the same mind and judgement among each other but also with you. May our prayers, hearts, and mission be aligned with you.
“No matter the cost.” Lottie Moon.
